½ cup butter
½ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1½ cups flour
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup chocolate chips

  • Soften butter and mix with sugars until creamy.
  • Add vanilla and eggs and mix until just incorporated, about 15 seconds.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until crumbles form.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix with hands.
  • Roll into 12 balls and bake for 13 minutes at 350°F.
  • Let cool on the cookie sheet.
