1 cup almond milk
3 Tbsp. Earth Balance margarine
2¼ tsp. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
¼ tsp. salt
3 cups flour

  • Melt margarine in almond milk, then cool to 100°F.
  • Stir in yeast and rest for 10 minutes to activate.
  • Stir in sugar and salt, then stir in flour in ½ cup increments, until the dough is sticky.  Transfer to floured board and knead lightly until it forms a ball.
  • Put in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until double (about 1 hour).
  • Turn out onto a floured board and roll out into a thin rectangle.

5 Tbsp. Earth Balance margarine
1½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ cup sugar

  • Melt margarine and brush dough rectangle.
  • Mix cinnamon and sugar, and sprinkle over dough rectangle.
  • Roll up dough and cut into 8-10 circles.  Put in buttered dish, and brush with butter.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F, until slightly browned.

1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. almond milk

  • Mix well and drizzle over cinnamon rolls.

2017-11-04 13:57:11: Made these on Trey’s recommendation, using Blue Bonnet margarine instead of Earth Balance. They were good (the dough especially), but I suspect that using Earth Balance and adding some brown sugar to the filling would improve them — they were not as rich as I would like.
