1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

  • combine all ingredients and set aside

6 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1 cup fig preserves

  • cream butter and sugar using stand mixer
  • add eggs one at a time
  • add vanilla and mix well
  • add flour/spice mixture, milk, and fig preserves
  • fill paper-lined cupcake pan and bake at 325°F for 18-22 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean
