1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, softened

  • blend until a paste forms

2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract

  • blend in until ribbons form

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
16 oz. chocolate chips

  • fold into mixture until just combined
  • refrigerate dough at least an hour
  • bake on parchment-lined baking sheets at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, until edges just start to brown
  • cool completely before serving
