2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 lbs. ground beef
12 large green olives
1 cup dried fruit (raisins, dried apricots, etc.)
2 Tbsp. capers
16oz. tomato sauce
4 packages Sazon 2 Tbsp. cumin
2 tsp. sugar
salt to taste

  • Saute garlic, onion, and pepper until softened (5-7 minutes)
  • Brown beef (7-10 minutes)
  • Add remaining ingredients, reduce heat, and simmer (10 minutes)

2019-11-18 00:17:54: Much, much better than the recipe in Pie Squared. But I’d make some changes on a second try:

  • Substitute 1/4 apricot jam for the apricots and sugar.
  • Use a small can of tomato sauce instead of a big one.
