  • 12 lbs. Belgian Pilsner malt
  • 1 lb. Munich malt

Kettle Additions

90 minute kettle additions: 1 lb. clear candi sugar syrup 1 1/4 oz. Styrian Goldings hop pellets

15 minute hop additions: 1 tsp. Irish Moss 1/2 oz. Saaz hop pellets

5 minute hop additions: 1/2 oz. Saaz hop pellets

yeast:

  • 2 vials Belgian Ale Yeast yeast (WLP550)

stats:

  • OG: 1.080
  • FG: 1.011
  • ABV: 8.3%

notes: final ABV wound up being quite a bit lower than we expected, so we called this a “double axel” instead of a tripel.
