  • 1 lbs. chocolate malt 350L
  • 12 oz. flaked barley
  • 12 oz. crystal 120L
  • 12 oz. roasted barley 300L
  • 8 oz. chocolate rye 250L
  • 4 oz. black patent 500L

60 minute kettle additions:

  • 1 oz. columbus hop pellets

20 minute kettle additions:

  • 1 oz. cascade hop pellets
  • 1 lb. corn sugar (dextrose)

15 minute kettle additions:

  • 1 tsp. irish moss

10 minute kettle additions:

  • 2 oz. cascade hop pellets

yeast:

  • WLP001 California Ale Yeast

02/13/2022: brewed second time (#39), and noticed the kit hops didn’t exactly match the recipe, so i’ve updated the recipe to match what the kit included since that’s what we’ve done both times.
