2 tsp. dry yeast
2 tsp. sugar
1/3 cup lukewarm water
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. salt 1 Tbsp. plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp. butter

  • Combine yeast, sugar, and water in a bowl and set aside 5 minutes, until bubbling.
  • Combine flour, salt, yogurt, milk, and activated yeast and mix well.
  • Knead into dough, adding more milk if required.
  • Cover with a moist kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Divide dough into even pieces and stretch or roll into circles.
  • Mince garlic, sprinkle over uncooked naan and press into the dough.
  • Fry naan on high heat for 1-2 min on each side, then keep warn in oven.
  • Broil to toast, and serve warm.
